…So when today came empty handed

while I waited open handed,

hope fizzed wildly

and threatened to fizzle out…

Then I remembered

who it was that sent today

around the bend of a painful yesterday

…then I knew that today being here

is telling of his presence being near

…so open handed,

I have grabbed a handful of today

and I plan to make it count!

a living bird,

never lacks feathers?
